Samsung reclaims top spot in global tv sales for 20th consecutive year
Samsung Electronics has once
again claimed the top spot in global TV sales for the 20th year in a row, a remarkable feat that underscores the company's enduring dominance in the market.Unwavering consumer trust
According to data from market research firm Omdia, Samsung's market share in TV sales reached 29.1% in 2025, cementing its position as the world's leading TV brand.
SW Yong, president and head of Samsung's Visual Display division, attributes the company's sustained success to decades of engineering excellence and premium innovation. 'When consumers choose a TV, they're choosing a brand they can trust for years to come,' Yong said in a statement. 'Our leadership in the global TV market for 20 years reflects that trust, built on a legacy of outstanding engineering and cutting-edge premium products.'

A legacy of innovation
Samsung's ascent to the top of the TV sales charts began with its Bordeaux TV line, launched in 2006, which focused on sleek design. However, the company's true breakthrough came in 2009 with the transition to LED TVs, followed by the introduction of Smart TVs in 2011, QLED in 2017, and 8K in 2018.
More recently, Samsung has expanded its lifestyle TV offerings with The Serif and The Frame series. The company is also set to bring its micro RGB Technology to the market later this year, with a range of products spanning 55 to 115 inches.
