Motorola is shaking up the wireless earbud landscape with the newly announced Moto Buds 2 Plus, a pair of earbuds packing premium features – including Bose sound – at a surprisingly competitive price.

The Moto Buds 2 Plus boast a comprehensive suite of features: Sound by Bose Technology, dynamic active noise cancellation (ANC), Hi-Res Audio with LHDC support, spatial audio, and even Moto AI for features like live translation. They also feature 11mm drivers, six microphones for noise cancellation, and up to 40 hours of battery life with the charging case.

Initially priced at €149 in Europe (roughly $175), the Moto Buds 2 Plus represent a significant step up from the standard Moto Buds 2, which come in at a remarkably affordable €79. The Moto Buds 2, while lacking the Bose audio, offer dynamic ANC and a longer battery life of up to 48 hours.

Consider the competition: the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) retail for a hefty $299, and while the Moto Buds 2 Plus may not match that level of ANC performance, the price difference is stark. Compared to Samsung’s Galaxy Buds FE (a generation behind), the newer and more expensive Galaxy Buds 3 FE, and the Nothing ear (a) or OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro – which lack the same level of sophistication – the Moto Buds 2 Plus present a compelling value proposition.

The standard Moto Buds 2, with their impressive feature set and even longer battery life, are available for €79. If these earbuds make their way to the US at a similar price point – $70-$80 – they could seriously challenge the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE and even offer a compelling alternative to more expensive options.

The Moto Buds 2 Plus are slated for release in the coming weeks, and with their blend of premium audio, advanced features, and aggressive pricing, they’re poised to be a major player in the crowded wireless earbud market. Motorola has a history of offering strong value, and these earbuds continue that trend.
