Mobilex claims zero churn: is this the tablet data plan disrupting the industry?
The battle for customer retention in the mobile data market is fierce. While AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon grapple with subscriber churn, a smaller player, MobileX, is boasting an astonishingly different statistic: zero churn on its data-only tablet plan.

Mobilex's unconventional approach
Founded by industry veteran Peter Adderton, MobileX operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). Adderton attributes the plan's success to its simple pricing structure – users pay only for the data they consume, with unused data converted into credit for the following month. This contrasts sharply with the flat monthly rates offered by the major carriers.
The data speaks for itself: MobileX has remained remarkably consistent since its launch in 2023. Adderton, a known critic of anti-consumer practices within the telecom industry (he previously founded Boost Mobile in 2000), suggests this straightforward approach resonates with budget-conscious consumers.
While MobileX’s customer base currently numbers in the tens of thousands, it faces a significant hurdle: scale. The
