The update isn't just about payments. Apple also unveiled Apple Business, a consolidated platform designed to streamline device management for businesses. This platform combines existing services like Apple Business Essentials and Apple Business Manager into a single hub. Administrators can now centrally configure device settings, security policies, app deployments, and user groups.

The rollout of Tap to Pay in Mexico leverages NFC Technology and doesn't require businesses to purchase new hardware. Initial payment platforms supporting the service include Adyen, Clip, Mercado Pago, and Visa Acceptance Platform, with more integrations expected soon. The feature, available in 50 countries, allows users to make contactless payments with their iPhones at compatible terminals.

This move aligns with Apple's continued investment in expanding the functionality of its devices beyond consumer use. The company is also preparing for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 8th, where the focus will be on iOS 27 Beta 1 and advancements in artificial intelligence. Expect deep dives into the next generation of Apple’s mobile operating system.

The inclusion of Mexico in the Tap to Pay network underscores Apple's commitment to global accessibility. By simplifying payment infrastructure, Apple is further solidifying its position as a key player in the evolving landscape of mobile commerce.
