Bitcoin skyrocketed to its highest level in three weeks, as tensions between the US and Iran appeared to ease after a temporary ceasefire was announced.

The largest cryptocurrency by market value surged 4.9% to reach $72,738, its highest since March 18, before moderating its gains to trade at $71,300 at midday in Singapore, up 3%.
Smaller cryptocurrencies also recorded significant gains, with Ether jumping 7.4% to $2,273.
