Samsung 2026 foldables and watches leak ahead of july unpacked event
Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event could be just around the corner, with a rumored date of July 22. The South Korean tech giant is poised to unveil its latest flagship foldables and smartwatches, including the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Watch Ultra 2.
Pricing revealed for samsung's 2026 lineup
According to a report from German publication WinFuture, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will start at €1,999 for the 256GB model, while the 512GB variant will cost €2,199. The top-tier 1TB model is expected to retail for €2,599.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, meanwhile, will reportedly come in at €2,199 for the base 256GB model, €2,399 for the 512GB version, and €2,799 for the 1TB top-of-the-line offering.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, it's expected to start at €1,299 for the 256GB model, with a 512GB variant priced at €1,499.
Galaxy watch 9 and watch ultra 2 pricing
The Galaxy Watch 9 will reportedly come in at €409 for the 40mm Bluetooth model, €459 for the 40mm LTE version, and €439 for the 44mm Bluetooth model. The 44mm LTE variant is expected to retail for €489.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 LTE, meanwhile, will reportedly start at €749, a €50 premium over the original Watch Ultra launched in 2024.
It's worth noting that these prices are based on recent currency exchange rates and may not accurately reflect the final US pricing for these devices.
Galaxy z fold 8 battery and charging upgrades
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to feature a substantial battery upgrade, packing a 5,000mAh cell, up from the 4,400mAh battery found in the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung is also increasing the speed of wired charging to 45W, compared to the 25W fast charging available on the previous model.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, a slightly thinner and wider book-style foldable, is rumored to be powered by a 4,800mAh battery, while the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to retain its 4,300mAh battery size, the same as the previous generation.
